JAM FACTORY
Originally home to the estate carpenter and his family, the building was subsequently converted for use as a game larder and sporting store. Disuse set in until an Organic Jam production business was set up in the Eighties utilising adjacent raspberry and blackcurrant fields. A short lived enterprise, the property was subsequently completely renovated and extended in 1995 to form a charming one-room house.
Converted sympathetically to retain traditional style but incorporating those modern comforts to ensure an easy and relaxing holiday, the Jam Factory is quarry-tiled throughout with scattered rugs, wood burning stove, fitted oak kitchen, washing machine, twin pine beds and shower room with w.c. A secluded, wooded location ensures privacy but permits the interest of a working estate to be experienced at first hand.
